Director, Fiber & 5G Technology

Brian Pack is the Director of 5G Technology here at DataField and assumed the role as a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. 

During his 26 years at Verizon, he held various roles including Senior Engineering Manager, Principal Engineer, and Senior Engineer. As Senior Engineering Manager, he managed site acquisition, permit management, and construction of small cell rollouts. He also led a team of real estate, regulatory, project management, and construction resources to deliver projects on time and on budget.

At Verizon, Brian Pack oversaw the Telecom transport and Data teams, managing the transport design of core fiber rings, lit and dark fiber to the cell, and fronthaul and backhaul designs. He also managed the hardware budget for new equipment and was responsible for microwave design in areas without fiber. Prior to this, as a Principal Engineer, he engineered Sonet, DWDM/CWDM backbone core, and packet implementation.

Currently, Brian serves as the Director of Fiber & 5G Technology at DataField, where he leads two work groups. One group specializes in transport design and engineering for major wireless carriers, while the other is responsible for outside plan routing and design, construction drawings and permitting for new fiber routes, pole line and underground fiber routes surveys, and pole loading studies.

In his free time, Brian enjoys playing guitar in his band and uplifting those around him with his passion for living a good life.
